Objective

The self-builder wanted to incorporate a ground source heat pump from the outset of their new build project in East Sussex, ensuring a fully renewable heating solution from day one.

About the project

Nicholls were engaged at the design stage of this self-build project in East Sussex to incorporate a closed-loop ground source heat pump system into the new home.

Working alongside the client's building team, Nicholls designed and installed the borehole array during the groundworks phase, followed by the GSHP installation and commissioning. As MCS accredited installers, a BUS grant was secured to support the installation cost.
