East Sussex

Course irrigation
Purpose
East Sussex
Location
Objective
The golf club wanted to come off their mains water supply onto a dedicated borehole for course irrigation, reducing costs and improving sustainability.
About the project
Nicholls installed and commissioned a water borehole system for Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club in East Sussex. The borehole enables the club to irrigate using their own water supply rather than treated mains water.
This saves the club approximately £14,000 per year in mains water costs and improves their environmental credentials by not irrigating with treated mains water.
