About the project
Nicholls designed and installed an award-winning open-loop river source heat pump system for a commercial property. The system abstracts water from a nearby river, passes it through a heat exchanger for heating and cooling, and returns it with minimal environmental impact.
The project was recognised with an Energy Efficiency Award, demonstrating the effectiveness of river source systems for large-scale commercial heating and cooling applications.
