Outcome

Objective

The developer needed to achieve planning consent for a new development in an area subject to water neutrality constraints, where new developments must demonstrate zero additional water demand.

About the project

Nicholls Licensing & Consulting supported a developer in achieving planning consent by developing a water credit strategy. In areas subject to water neutrality requirements, new developments must demonstrate that they will not increase total water demand.

Our team assessed the development's water requirements and identified suitable water credit offsets. This enabled the developer to satisfy the planning authority's water neutrality requirements and achieve planning consent.
